Image Processing Party @ TJ Library in Falls Church
Image Processing Party Saturday July 12 from 1-5 pm at the Thomas Jefferson Library in Falls Church. No agenda, just hanging out and processing data. So come when you like and leave when you like. Okay, on to the pretty pictures. I seem to be specializing in “planetary” stuff. This time the planetary nebula is M76, the Little Dumbbell Nebula. I shot this last fall, but only got around to being satisfied with my processing now. I still find capturing images easier than processing them. Read more […] -

NOVAC 25th Anniversary Speakers
With the recent passing of amateur astronomy legend John Dobson, we’ve located a video of his humorous remarks to our membership at NOVAC’s 2005 Star Gaze. While doing so, we’ve also found videos of other major speakers that same year including Al Nagler, Phil Harrington and Rod Mollise. You can watch all their talks at this newly-created page. Special Kudos to Mike Lewis and Alex Lim for their work in 2005 and still today for the club and Phil Wherry for taking the time to convert them up Read more […]
