  • Weather Update: December Meeting CANCELLED

    *** WEATHER UPDATE *** 

    NOVAC’s Board of Trustees has decided to cancel tonight’s general meeting in the interest of safety; the weather is just too uncertain for us to feel comfortable asking members to come out to GMU this evening. We’ll hold elections for NOVAC officers and trustees in January. The equipment show-and-tell scheduled this evening will be held at another meeting instead. Stay safe (and warm)!

     

  • December Monthly Meeting, “Show and Tell”, and Elections – December 8th 7pm

    Our next meeting will be Sunday Evening, December 8, 7:00 pm with an equipment “show and tell” event with NOVAC members bringing their astronomy equipment for others to see.  You will be able to talk with the equipment owners about how and why they use what they have for observing.  We will meet in Room 163,  Research Hall, George Mason University.     With AHSP 2013 the same weekend as our monthly meeting and a number of members and board personnel in attendance of the event we won’t be meeting in September but will resume our Red Hot and Blue and monthly meeting at GMU in October.
