Cancelled – Great Meadow Public Night
Observing at Great Meadows tonight (11-07) has been cancelled due to cloudy weather and a muddy observing field.

Added Public Night at CM Crockett Park
With the cancellation of Star Gaze this past weekend we have added an additional Public Night for this coming Sunday evening 6:30pm to 11:00pm at Crockett Park. Special thanks goes out to the club members that are making this happen!

Star Gaze 2015 – Oct 3rd – CANCELLED
The forecast for this weekend’s Star Gaze event poses serious risks to the safety of our volunteers as well as members of the general public who might wish to attend the event. Consequently, we have decided to cancel Star Gaze for 2015. NOVAC has several other observing-only public nights scheduled during the rest of 2015, and Star Gaze will return next year in October, 2016. Three Public observing events this weekend!

NOVAC General Meeting and Mike Summers Talk – Sept 13, 7pm
NOVAC’s general meetings are open to club members and the general public alike, and are held on the campus of George Mason University (directions) in Fairfax, Virginia. Research Hall is easily identified by the observatory attached to the side of the building. Paid parking is available in the Shenandoah parking structure. Byron Bergert Imaging Group – Sept 5 10am to 1pm at Patrick Henry Library
NOVAC’s Byron Berget Imaging Group will hold its next processing party on Saturday September 5 from 10am to 1pm at the Patrick Henry Library in Vienna. The room is just inside the main door to the right. Bring your images from AHSP or your backyard, your laptops, or just your questions, and we’ll process our data and discuss imaging techniques.
