April 2018 is Global Astronomy Month!
Throughout the month of April members of the public will be joining with amateur clubs around the world in this global celebration of astronomy. Our own organization, the Northern Virginia Astronomy Club (NOVAC) will host its Astronomy Day event on Saturday, April 21st at C.M. Astronomy Day: Saturday May 7, 2016
NOVAC’s annual Astronomy Day event is coming: this Saturday 3pm – 11pm at Sky Meadows State Park! We’ve got a host of astronomy-related activities on the schedule, from radio and solar observing to games and educations activities for kids. Join NOVAC for Astronomy Day at Sky Meadows State Park on May 31, 2014. Come out at 3PM to observe the Sun! Stay until nightfall to see some planets and deep sky objects!
